RAF diversity drive ‘discriminated against 160 white men’

Problems created by push for women and ethnic minorities come as crisis-hit Armed Forces also face sex harassment scandals

The RAF has been accused of discriminating against 160 white men in its effort to meet “aspirational diversity targets”.

Tobias Ellwood, chairman of the defence select committee, told MPs that the RAF’s former head of recruitment had identified the cases before she resigned in protest.

After the revelation, Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston, head of the force, was asked if he had presided over a “lack of integrity at the top of the RAF”.

I bet they’re wondering why recruitment efforts are drastic failures.

Gay guy suing because he can’t donate sperm

A gay man is taking the federal government to court, challenging the constitutionality of a policy restricting gay and bisexual men from donating to sperm banks in Canada, CTV News has learned.

“[It’s] like you’re undesirable because of your gayness as a donor … It feels like such an arbitrary rule,” said Aziz M, the man who is pushing to change the rules. Out of concern for his privacy, CTV News has agreed not to use his full name.

Currently, a Health Canada directive prohibits gay and bisexual men from donating sperm to a sperm bank unless they’ve been abstinent for three months or are donating to someone they know.

I say let him donate, but also inform the recipient that the kid might be a real bitchy flamer like the complainant.

Satanists plan to open New Mexico abortuary named after Justice Alito’s mother

Self-professed satanists are reportedly planning to open an abortion facility disgustingly named after pro-life U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s mother. Alito wrote the opinion in the landmark Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, which rolled back 49 years of federal abortion precedent by overturning Roe v. Wade, thereby eliminating the federal “right to abortion.”

According to The Satanic Temple (TST), however, that life-saving Supreme Court decision might never have happened if Alito’s mother had just had the opportunity to murder her son in the womb.

Mr Rittenhouse was acquitted in November 2021 claiming self-defence.

The Trudeau Hijabi’s job is to preach to the converted

The noxious effects of identity politics have been on full display in Canada since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Jan. 26 nomination of Amira Elghawaby as his government’s Special Representative on Combatting Islamophobia.

In Quebec, the reaction to Ms. Elghawaby’s appointment has gone far beyond the boilerplate outrage that usually awaits external critics of the province’s efforts to preserve its language, identity and values. This time, the indignation is real and proportional to the offence Mr. Trudeau committed in promoting someone who has perpetuated stereotypes about Quebeckers as hostile toward “others.”

Taxi drivers are asking for advance payment to go to ‘dangerous’ areas of Toronto

A seemingly endless wave of violent crime may have some would-be transit riders opting for other means of getting around the city, and even Toronto’s taxi drivers are on edge as shocking headlines continue to be published daily.

Riders opting for the old-fashioned mode of taxis to get around town are finding some drivers reluctant to accept fares to particular areas of the city without a cash advance payment, a scenario playing out even for well-dressed senior citizens.

Seems scammy, I think some of the cabbies are often the “bad neighborhood.”

More on TO … Judge tosses attempted murder charge in latest of four gun cases to collapse over Toronto police conduct

An attempted murder charge tossed by a judge this week — the fourth firearms case to collapse in the past two months due to Toronto police conduct — has sparked concerns about the force’s handling of gun cases.

The judge’s decision on Tuesday found police failed to disclose evidence on an alleged shooting ambush in a timely fashion. Judicial reasons for tossing the other cases include racial profiling, an unwarranted no-knock raid, and slow disclosure.

This week’s ruling also comes as Toronto police presses the federal government for legal reforms to crack down on firearms cases.

Hunter Biden finally admits infamous laptop is his as he pleads for criminal probe

First son Hunter Biden’s lawyers admitted late Wednesday that the infamous laptop the now-52-year-old abandoned at a Delaware computer repair shop in the throes of his crack cocaine addiction does indeed belong to him.

The revelation came in a petulant letter from Hunter’s lawyers seeking a criminal probe into what they called, attempts to “weaponize” its contents.

In the 14-page letter to Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings, Biden attorney Abbe Lowell claimed that repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac “unlawfully” accessed Hunter’s laptop data and worked with former President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani to “weaponize” sordid and incriminating contents on it against Joe Biden.

Pierre Poilievre gains support at Justin Trudeau’s expense as the Conservatives put a tumultuous year behind them

OTTAWA — Candice Bergen’s announcement Wednesday that she’s resigning as a member of Parliament caps a year of turmoil for the Conservative party, which is only now beginning to find its footing under new leader Pierre Poilievre.

The departure of the party stalwart and former interim leader — a Stephen Harper-era veteran tasked with trying to hold together a fractious party after an internal civil war last year — is the latest sign yet of the generational change underway within the Conservatives as Poilievre plots a course toward the next federal election.

And … Poilievre bringing in record fundraising dollars, more than previous Tory leaders

‘Unprecedented’ Rise in Whale Deaths Along East Coast Prompts Calls for Moratorium of Offshore Wind Farms

At least 18 whales have washed up dead on the U.S. east coast in recent months, prompting concern from a group of mayors in the state of New Jersey who have called for an “immediate moratorium” on offshore wind farms.

In a letter to New Jersey congressional lawmakers, the mayors said they stand “united” in their concerns about the “unprecedented” number of whales that have washed ashore recently.

They called for an immediate moratorium on all offshore wind activities, a key part of New Jersey’s climate change strategy, until federal and state agencies can investigate the deaths and “confidently determine” that offshore wind activities are not contributing to them.

College Board purges controversial subjects including BLM, critical race theory and ‘black queer studies’ from AP African American Studies course after fierce criticism led by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis

The College Board has removed a series of controversial topics from its new AP African American Studies course after criticism led by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

A final version of the curriculum published on Wednesday either watered down or removed entirely topics linked to the Black Lives Matter movement, ‘black queer studies’ and critical race theory.

The subjects had appeared in a draft version of the course guide that surfaced last September and drew fierce criticism over claims students were being subjected to woke ‘indoctrination’.
