This week, the first felony sentence was handed down in relation to what’s popularly called the “insurrection” of January 6, 2021. Though he only pleaded guilty to a single count of “obstruction of an official proceeding,” defendant Paul Hodgkins — whose criminal act entailed milling around the Senate chamber for approximately 15 minutes — nonetheless found himself branded a “terrorist” in open court by the US Government. Per prosecutors’ own admission, Hodgkins committed no acts of physical violence, and wielded no weapons. He was also never formally accused of any “terrorist” offenses, at least in a way that the Government would actually have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. Regardless, prosecutors have now introduced a theory in which it’s alleged that Hodgkins and other non-violent Jan. 6 defendants were operating within a supposed “context” of terrorism — and it’s this “context” that they’re citing to argue for more severe punishment.
Justin Trudeau’s Liberals are strengthening their commitment to tech entrepreneurialism as they scale back Canada’s COVID-19 benefits. This is not a road map to recovery; it is a path to austerity and precarity in the workplace.
European governments worried about the rapid spread of the Delta coronavirus variant are nudging, and in some cases pushing, people to get a shot by introducing restrictions to daily life for those without a Covid-19 vaccination.
After more than a year of quarantines, lockdowns and separations due to COVID-19, Canada is slowly reopening. But experts say another pandemic, of femicide and domestic violence, has been quietly raging across the country.
It appears a sea change is underway across the country, as many Canadians are questioning how and why we choose to commemorate historical figures with controversial legacies.
And of course, you won’t be seeing this on your national Mockingbird, corporate owned media channel, will you? Yet, the people are out by the tens and hundreds of thousands to protest the crimes of their governments.
Trudeau Transforming Canada Into Neo-Communist, Pro-Islamic Nation
Within Canadian politics, few circumstances are as misunderstood as ideological affinities shared by Pierre and Justin Trudeau. Between the two there exists a form of mental malignancy that has resulted in damaging the very fabric of society.
Facebook Censors User for Criticizing Alberta Infrastructure Project
As if censorship on Facebook couldn’t get any pettier some people are being flagged for Facebook, not for their opinions on COVID-19 or election integrity issues in the US, but instead for disagreeing with local infrastructure projects in Alberta.
How Canada became communist/how communist is Canada
Last year, a friend took the time and effort to print out an amazing essay about the history of communist activists and the effect they had on Canadian culture and politics, dating back quite a while. My friend has been very patient with me, only reminding me now and again to get in gear and read it. It is difficult to find time to read a 26 page pdf these days and truth be told, the only way I can really do it is printing it out, binding it and taking it to a cafe or something and reading it at the table. No distractions by phones or screens. Covid closures made this impossible.
Now that I am well into this document, I have to say, she has been much more patient with me than I would have been with her had I read this and printed it out for her. This is jaw dropping from beginning to end.
How the Left Undervalues America
Most of those on the left who tell us that America is a fundamentally racist nation have never had to serve in a military environment, one of the most colorblind elements of American society. No, most of them are pampered college-educated agitators with very little skin in the game in terms of doing anything productive at all, not protecting the nation, not building the nation, not improving the nation. Others are minorities who have listened for years to grifters selling the fiction of serial victimization. They attack the United States for not being the nirvana that Marx wrote about or the racial paradise Nikole Hannah-Jones pretends Cuba is. (Ironically, Marx, a chronically unemployed writer who was perpetually supported by Engels, a scion of a wealthy family with textile interests, spent his time theorizing and critiquing capitalists… including textile manufacturers… Similarly absurd, the nirvana we are told is Cuba is today wracked with civil unrest as the poverty-stricken population revolts against 60 years of communist oppression.)
Report: How Pelosi makes millions on companies she regulates
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is the sixth-richest member of Congress, according to the most recent financial disclosure statements filed in 2019. As the California Democrat has risen through party ranks and obtained more and more political power, her personal wealth has risen right along with it. Pelosi “has seen her wealth increase to nearly $115 million from $41 million in 2004,” reports the transparency non-profit group Open Secrets. Even by the standards of wealth that define that legislative body — “more than half of those in Congress are millionaires” — the wealth and lifestyle of the long-time liberal politician and most powerful lawmaker in Washington are lavish.
A Scary Look Inside Bill Gates Dark Agenda
Mounting evidence suggests that the Microsoft founder is trying to take over the world one forced vaccination at a time. And while promoting disease control through universal vaccinations sounds like an admirable goal, some of Gates’ methods resemble reckless human experimentation.
Twenty-four states have banned the use of psychological therapy to treat the condition.
Transgender activists repeatedly assert that the only way to help someone who experiences gender dysphoria (meaning a person feels they are the opposite sex) is for that person to medically “transition.”
Therapeutic efforts with a counselor or psychologist to help someone overcome his or her gender dysphoria are today classified under the umbrella of “conversion therapy” and are widely denounced as evil and abusive. For instance, the Human Rights Campaign describes conversion therapy as “a range of dangerous and discredited practices that falsely claim to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.”
CRT is a far more dangerous and one-sided attack on the entire range of education standards than previous curricula.
A front-page story (“A new wedge issue in campaign,” July 18) and a commentary(“What CRT looks like in my classroom,” July 17) recently criticized the critics of critical race theory, or at least of the “straw man” the critics are said to have created.
The critics’ critics claim is that the real critical race theory is a mere corrective addition to the “current” school history standards, which supposedly omits discussion of slavery, racism, Native American/settler conflict and other American shortcomings. This is either naiveté or plain falsehood.
A few days ago, Rep. Cori Bush of ultra-woke fame, to the point where she makes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez look sane, posted a series of racist messages on Twitter. She claimed they had been sent to her as threats and that she had turned them over to the FBI.
The BBC has for many decades been notoriously anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian in its Middle East coverage. Among the main offenders there is the execrable John Simpson, who for years was in charge of all foreign broadcasts as head of BBC World Services; there is Jeremy Bowen, now the BBC’s Middle East Editor, and there is Lyse Doucet, now the BBC’s senior foreign correspondent, based in the Middle East, whose antipathy to Israel, and identification with the Palestinian cause, is palpable. Despite their scarcely hidden biases, neither has been subject to any disciplinary action, much less been fired.
A creative worker at a top advertising agency today said he felt like he had ‘a target on my back’ when he was fired after a gay female director vowed to ‘obliterate’ the firm’s Mad Men reputation of being ‘full of white, British, straight men.’
Chas Bayfield and colleague Dave Jenner, who were among five men axed from J. Walter Thompson (JWT) after bosses ‘urgently’ wanted to address its poor gender pay gap, have expressed relief after winning a sex discrimination claim against the company.
A damning gender pay gap report had sent ‘shock waves’ through the firm as it highlighted there was a serious lack of female representation, a tribunal heard.
Some of us are trying to wave the maple leaf flag sensibly, but it is a lonely and rather thankless vocation
To borrow a clangorous platitude from popular psychology, Canada has to address its problem of low self-esteem. There are several prominent indications of this problem. The second-largest province, Quebec, with about 24 per cent of the total population, about a fifth of them English- rather than French-speaking, is proposing unilaterally to amend the Canadian Constitution (which it has not officially ratified), in order to restrain the use English within its borders. All the political parties, in Quebec and federally, apparently welcome this development.
Like many of you I am not counting on a Canadian resurgence.
Our political and corporate class have deliberately balkanized the populace for their own greed driven ends.
They lie about the so called benefits of mass immigration when in fact all it offers is a smaller piece of a shrinking pie.
We are approaching 3rd world status. Politically we’re nearly there, a fading nation governed by parties and a bureaucracy that cares nothing for you and I and even less for the law.
Our heritage is subverted and maligned deliberately to make replacement all the easier.
They want you poor and afraid with no hope for the future make no mistake.
D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee slammed his community’s “unacceptable” violence during a lengthy impromptu speech on Friday, following two men being shot near restaurants on Thursday night in a popular area of northwest D.C.
Amid gunshots, diners had to flee their tables for safety, after which two shooting victims were taken to the hospital. Contee emphasized that such violence is becoming the norm in the nation’s capital.
