Even After LA Mayor Terminated Top Fire Lesbian, City Still Places DEI Above Competence

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass fired Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley — one of the city’s “top fire lesbians” who pushed DEI across the department — Feb. 21, citing “public safety” and blaming her for the disastrous response to the massive Palisades and Eaton fires that consumed parts of the city last month.

But the city’s priorities are still misplaced, according to documents a whistleblower provided to The Federalist. LAFD EMTs are required to take training to meet the requirements for renewing certification, some of which still advances radical gender ideology. And Crowley is still with the department, just in a lower rank. So perhaps Bass’ lip service to “public safety” is less about accountability for the deadly fires, and more about escaping it.

Missouri sues Starbucks, claiming ‘systemic discrimination’ via DEI because its workforce has “become more female and less white”.

Missouri has sued Starbucks for discrimination because its workforce has “become more female and less white”.

Filed on Tuesday by the state’s Republican attorney general, the lawsuit accuses the coffee chain of engaging in “systemic racial, sexual, and sexual orientation discrimination” through its diversity, equity and inclusion policies, including hiring quotas, advancement opportunities and board membership.

The lawsuit alleges that as of 23 August 2020 the company’s US employee breakdown was 69% women, and that by 24 September 2024 the figure was 70.9% women.

Ivison: DEI screening comes before merit questions in Canadian university hiring

Diversity, equity and inclusion policies are “sadly lacking in idea diversity” and are driven by people who believe that racism explains everything, said Mark Milke, founder and president of the Aristotle Foundation on Public Policy.

Milke was talking to John Ivison about a new study of academic hiring practices at Canadian universities undertaken by the Aristotle Foundation.

The study found a near universal use of DEI policies to promote the equality of outcomes in the university system.

‘DEI cost me job at FAA, a crash was inevitable’

An aspiring air traffic controller who claims he was denied a job because of diversity targets said the aviation agency’s obsession with inclusion made an accident likely to happen.

Andrew Brigida, 35, scored 100 per cent in his training exam but claims he was denied a position in an air traffic control tower because the recruitment process of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) favoured diverse candidates.

He is part of a class action lawsuit filed against the federal agency.

Trump Administration Orders Agencies to Find More DEI Workers to Ax

Trump administration officials are pressing federal agencies to dig deeper to find diversity workers to push out of the government, according to current and former officials familiar with internal conversations.

President Trump’s Office of Personnel Management last week required federal agencies to close offices that focus exclusively on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility and place employees of those divisions on paid administrative leave by Jan. 22. Agency leaders were required to submit a list of all DEI employees the following day.

98 Percent of Academic Job Postings in Canada Use DEI Screening: Study

Nine in 10 academic job postings from some of the largest universities in Canada incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles in their hiring processes, a new study suggests.

The analysis, published by the Calgary-based think tank Aristotle Foundation, says that 98 percent of active job postings at 10 of Canada’s largest public universities include DEI requirements or strategies for filling vacancies.

9 out of 10? Good to know nearly everyone is getting a crappy education and not just you!

So Trump nixed your bullshit DEI job

Corporations are sick of diversity hacks

The buzzy Apple show Severance depicts a group of office drones trapped in a cubicle hell called Lumon Industries. It’s a workplace drama in which suspiciously little is revealed about the actual work done by protagonist Mark Scout (played by Adam Scott) and his colleagues. It appears to be a Sisyphean task of sorting random numbers — but we have no idea why, and neither do they. Do any of these people hunched over screens do anything of use?

ZWAAGSTRA: Ford government should reject Toronto school board’s DEI decree

Academic performance is down in Ontario – by a lot.

According to results from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), from 2003 to 2022 (the latest year of PISA data), math test scores in Ontario declined by 35 points and reading scores declined by 12 points.

To put this in perspective, PISA equates 20 points with approximately one grade level. So, Ontario students are nearly two grades behind in their math skills, and more than half a grade behind in their reading skills, than they were in 2003.

I blame the parents who treat their child’s education as nothing more than daycare.

Every strike results in capitulation to the teacher’s unions because parents demand a “solution” to their babysitting problem.

What do they get in return? Schools run by overpaid perverts unfit for any job.

Doug Ford will do what all politicians do. Ignore this issue so as not to anger the unions for the upcoming election.

Joy Reid Thinks You’re Dumb, Says DEI Is About Helping ‘Disabled Veterans’

MSNBC’s Joy Reid and her Wednesday guest, National President of the American Federation of Government Employees Everett Kelley, think you are stupid. On The ReidOut, the duo reacted to President Donald Trump ordering the end of DEI offices across the federal government by claiming such moves represent an attack on “disabled veterans.”

What the Left Did to Me and My Family

This is a historic moment. For the past five years, I have been fighting to defeat critical race theory, gender cultism, and DEI. Now, President Trump has taken decisive action and instructed his administration to rip out these malicious ideologies root and branch, not just from the federal government but from all institutions that receive federal funding—universities, schools, corporations. All of it.

Anthony Furey: TDSB fails to read the room by doubling down on DEI

TDSB Scholars

As public opinion throughout North America turns against controversial diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, the largest school board in Canada is poised to double down on this divisive agenda.

Last week, a Toronto District School Board (TDSB) committee voted in support of sending a request to the provincial government to make DEI certification mandatory for teachers.

TDSB Trustee Committee Wants Mandatory Certification Of Racist DEI Program for Ontario Educators

A Toronto District School Board (TDSB) committee has voted in favour of asking the province to put in place diversity, equity, and anti-racism certification for all Ontario teachers. The motion will now be referred to trustees at the regular board meeting on Jan. 22 for approval.

The motion was brought forward at a Jan. 16 meeting of the Program and School Services Committee by trustees Deborah Williams and Debbie King on behalf of student trustee Angelika Bell.

Ford should be all over this but he is a coward.

No more DEI or ESG: alphabet soup is off the menu in Trump’s USA

The president-elect has prompted a backlash against boardroom virtue signalling and diversity phrases

Asked to describe the vibe shift on Wall Street since Donald Trump’s re-election last November, a senior hedge fund manager replies simply with a link to Landman, a new drama series on the Paramount+ streaming service.

Starring Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Hamm, and released just under a fortnight after Trump’s resounding victory, it follows the boom-time skirmishing of wildcat oil explorers in West Texas — think Mad Men for fossil fuels.

You know who will cheer the death of DEI? The working class

The boss class’s diversity initiatives were a knife in the heart of workplace solidarity.

So, is it RIP DEI? The boss class’s favourite ideology certainly seems to be in trouble. Big business everywhere is rethinking its devotion to ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’. As part of his coming out as a pretty standard tech bro who bristles at woke and loves Joe Rogan, Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg has said DEI might be for the chopping block. He even instructed his minions to take the tampons out of the men’s bathrooms at Meta HQ. Expecting people who menstruate to use the ladies’ loo? Guys, this is big.
